No product review this month. Instead I bring you the following public service announcement.

So you say there isn't enough Stargate merchendise. You say need more. Then this information is for you. The first of several Stargate SG-1 comics is due out in August and available for order now. Called the Stargate SG-1 Convention Special it will be available at Dragon*Con in Altanta, but you can also ask your local retailer to order it for you.

NOTE: to be sure they get your order in time ask by June 16-20 as that's when retailers need to get their orders sent in. 

A synopsis from the Avatar Press websight says: 

"Pinned down by enemy fire Teal'c and Master Bra'tac face certain death. The only thing standing between their capture and execution as traitors to the murderous Goa'uld Apophis is Colonel Jack O'Neill and the SG1 team. Can the upstart warriors of Earth save the fledgling resistance movement or will the hopes of freedom for the Jaffa be crushed beneath the boots of Goa'uld oppression once and for all?"

This issue features two covers for your enjoyment. The first features art by Matt Busch while the other is a photo of the cast from season one.  Also available, if you're lucky enough to find one, is a special foil logo edition cover. This is used as a retailer incentive. If the retailer orders 'x' amount of books they can order 1 special foil edition.  If they order 2x that amount they can order 2 of the foil editions.
